Questions about Star
What does Star do for an A&R team?
It automates the first four steps of A&R — finding artists, screening and scoring them, writing a songwriting brief and producing a demo track — and shows progress and next actions on one dashboard.
Which artists show up in the results?
Independent artists found on YouTube, Chzzk, SOOP, SoundCloud, Twitch and Kick. Prospects under 10,000 followers or without verifiable numbers, artists who look signed and anyone from a previous run are left out. On noisier platforms, accounts with thin profiles or gambling and adult promotion are removed first.
How are the scores calculated?
Growth is follower change over about 7 days; engagement is the platform's figure or an “estimated” views-per-upload ÷ followers; launch potential is signability 60% + audience size 40% (5,000–50,000 followers fits best); signability starts at 100% and drops when agency, label or MCN traces appear. Every card shows its numbers and reasoning.
Can I skip discovery and go straight to a song?
Yes. Open a direct brief, enter the artist or project, concept, genre, mood, BPM, key and structure, and lead and demo production start right away. AI can fill empty fields, and you can attach up to five reference URLs.
How do plans and run credits work?
Each workflow run uses one credit from your monthly plan. When they run out, new discovery and search pause until you upgrade or the month resets. Scale is unlimited and arranged through sales.
How do I sign up, and which languages are supported?
Sign in with a MUTA account; first-timers accept the privacy policy and EULA to create one. The app runs in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish, in light or dark. The intro, guide and FAQ pages are open without signing in.
